Create Request: New Internal Service Provider (ISP) & Update Existing ISP

Use the Create Request: New ISP form to request the creation of a new Internal Service Provider, or the ISP Data Maintenance form to update existing ISP information.

Why can’t I initiate this process? Depending on the Workday security roles you have been assigned you may or may not have the ability to initiate this process. If you cannot initiate this process and feel you should be able to, please reach out to your security contact.

Before You Begin


Prerequisites
  • Approval from SPA, External Reporting, and a completed FDM request to create a new Cost Center are required prior to submitting the New ISP form.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Create New ISP
  1. Log in to Workday.
  2. Open the Requests app.
  3. Click Create Request.
  4. Select New ISP in the Request Type field.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Enter the details of the request in the Describe the Request field.
  7. Enter the ISP Name, ISP Manager and ISP Cost Center Number.
  8. Select the ISP designation provided by Cost Analysis or SPA.
  9. Select the applicable Default Revenue Category.
    1. For WUIT and Generic designations, enter the Default Revenue Category in the applicable text field. Work with your business office to determine which revenue category is best.
  10. Add Attachments.
    • This step is required.
    • Attaching the email from SPA or Cost Analysis is recommended.
  11. Click Submit.
Update Existing ISP
  1. Log in to Workday.
  2. Open the Requests app.
  3. Click Create Request.
  4. Select ISP Data Maintenance in the Request Type field.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Enter the details of the request in the Describe the Request field.
  7. Enter the Existing ISP Number.
  8. Add or edit any of the following ISP information: ISP Name, ISP Manager, ISP Cost Center Number, ISP Designation, or Default Revenue Category (for WUIT and Generic designations, enter the Default Revenue Category in the text field).
  9. Add Attachments, if needed.
  10. Click Submit.
